In copper smelting and beneficiation processes, the valves in the water and slurry systems operate under extremely harsh conditions. Traditional gate valves and ball valves often fail due to wear, corrosion, or jamming. Our BV-BD Segmented ball valve, with its advanced mechanical design and materials science, is perfectly suited for the following critical workstations:
1.Feed/Discharge/Backwash Water Flow Regulation System
Technical Highlights: Utilizing an eccentric crankshaft structure, the opening and closing components detach from the valve seat during operation, eliminating friction and scratches on the sealing surface. Combined with a precision-cast streamlined valve cavity, it provides a stable adjustable ratio (R≥30:1) even in backwash water with high solids content, ensuring accurate flow control.
Application Value: Significantly improves feed stability in flotation or leaching processes and optimizes reagent consumption.
2.Copper concentrate pump inlet shut-off and thickener bottom discharge pipeline flushing water
Wear-Resistant Design: The valve body adopts a eccentric structure. The valve seat and sealing surface are overlaid with Stellite hard alloy or sprayed with tungsten carbide, achieving a hardness of HRC60 or higher. Facing the high-speed scouring of copper concentrate (typically containing hard particles such as quartz), its service life is 3-5 times that of traditional gate valves.
Sealing Guarantee: Metal sealing is achieved using the wedge force generated by the eccentricity, providing bidirectional sealing capability even under high-pressure conditions (such as alternating negative and positive pressure at the pump inlet). Simultaneously, the V-shaped or rectangular channel design is particularly suitable for cutting off, high-concentration slurries from the thickener underflow, preventing material buildup and blockages.
Our DETORA BV-BD segmented ball valve is not only a mechanical component, but also a strategic partner for ensuring continuous production and reducing operation and maintenance costs in your copper concentrate processing.
